Linekind Privacy Policy

Linekind helps adults write profiles and messages, review conversations and drafts, and practice what to say. You choose the information to include and decide whether to use the result. Linekind never sends a message or changes a dating profile for you. For privacy questions or requests, contact jorge@cerostudios.net.

Screenshots and text recognition

Linekind reads only the images you select, up to five at a time, using Apple's on-device text recognition. Original images are not uploaded to Linekind, OpenAI or Google, and your photo library is not scanned in the background. Review, correct and reorder the extracted text, identify speakers and remove private details before sharing. Combining images does not authorize an AI request. If the text exceeds a limit, shorten it yourself; Linekind does not silently cut it to fit.

Text you approve for AI processing

After you review and consent, Linekind sends the approved text to its server and the provider named in that request. OpenAI handles replies, openers, invitations and reply refinements. Google handles Profile Workshop, Conversation Coach and practice feedback. Profile Workshop can include your real details, existing profile text, question and goal. Conversation Coach uses the approved messages and context, plus your unsent draft when you choose draft review. Reply and practice requests can include conversation or setup text, your draft, editing instructions and writing preferences. The selected tone and output language accompany the request. Saving or editing locally does not send a new AI request.

Your optional profile name is not included in AI requests. Your optional writing sample stays local unless you enable sharing; it then accompanies approved reply requests to OpenAI and practice requests to Google. A request may use two processing passes with the same provider to check details. This still uses one generation. Older app versions may use Google for replies, as their consent screen states.

Our server does not store or log submitted writing. OpenAI API data is not used for model training by default. We disable stored Responses; independent abuse-monitoring logs normally last up to 30 days, with longer retention possible for legal or safety reasons. Prompt-cache state can remain for up to 24 hours. This is not zero retention. Read OpenAI’s data controls.

Google processes requests under its paid API terms: prompts and responses are not used to improve its products. Google retains prompts, context and responses for 55 days for abuse monitoring and legal requirements. Authorized personnel may review flagged content; these records may be used for policy-enforcement models. This is not a zero-retention service. Google may process information where it or its agents operate facilities. Read Google's paid-service terms and abuse-monitoring policy. Submit only information you have permission to use.

Saved work on your device

Replies and their original drafts/instructions, profile drafts and results, coaching inputs/results, custom practice setups, practice attempts, favorites and writing preferences stay in protected files on this device, excluded from device backups. Practice history retains up to 200 attempts. Linekind does not provide cloud history sync. Saved drafts are not treated as sent messages. The device Keychain stores authentication credentials. Copying or pasting text into another app is subject to that app and the operating system's behavior.

Account, subscriptions, and service use

Live AI requires Sign in with Apple and a verified active subscription. Apple sign-in creates a pseudonymous Linekind account; we do not request your name or email through it. The service retains hashed session credentials, encrypted Apple authorization credentials, verified purchase information and subscription-linked usage counters for access, security and account deletion. Apple handles payment; Linekind does not receive your card number.

RevenueCat manages subscription purchases, restoration and subscription analytics. It receives the pseudonymous account identifier, purchase information and device/app/store metadata, including Apple's identifier for vendor (IDFV). We do not send conversations, drafts, writing samples or screenshots to RevenueCat or use this data for advertising tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

We keep compact pseudonymous subscription-period identifiers, policy assignments and usage counters to provide the correct allowance and prevent duplicate grants after restoration, account recreation or payment recovery. These records do not contain your conversations, drafts or receipt bodies. They remain after account deletion and subscription expiry; the current system does not automatically delete them on a time schedule. They are separate from anonymous aggregate provider-usage statistics. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase provider records independently retained under their policies.

Anonymous daily provider-call, token and cost-coverage counters help us understand service use. These aggregate counters contain no conversation text or account identifier and are separate from the subscription-linked allowance records.

The app does not include advertising tracking. If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to include are used to handle your request. Please do not send full private conversations, passwords, payment-card details, or sign-in codes.

Network security and reliability

Cloudflare protects and delivers connections to Linekind. It processes network information such as IP addresses, approximate country derived from IP, request paths, response status, and timing to secure the service and keep it available. Cloudflare retains security and traffic metadata under its own policies. Dashboard retention windows do not guarantee deletion from every provider system.

Linekind application logs contain a random request identifier, route, response status, and duration. They do not contain conversation text, account identifiers, session credentials, or IP addresses. Logs rotate by size, currently up to three 10 MB files per environment. These operational records are separate from saved conversations and are not erased by clearing local history.

Your controls

You choose whether to submit text to AI processing. Without that consent, your text is not sent for a new AI request. You can edit or remove details before each submission.

You can remove individual saved results or practice attempts. Removing a custom setup leaves its previous feedback available; delete those attempts separately if desired. Your space → Delete saved content clears saved replies, practice history, profile drafts/results, coaching drafts/results and custom setups. It does not cancel a subscription or erase independently retained provider records.

Your space → Delete my account requests removal of Linekind sessions, local history/preferences and the Apple authorization used by Linekind. It also requests removal of the RevenueCat customer profile and purchase history for this app across test and production records. If remote cleanup is pending, the app says so and retains a minimal request for retry; sign-in remains unavailable until processing finishes. Deletion does not erase Apple's financial records, immediately erase independent provider retention or cancel your Apple subscription. Manage that subscription separately in Apple settings.

Compact subscription-period, plan and usage records remain to prevent duplicate allowances after account recreation or purchase restoration. They do not contain your conversations, and currently have no automatic time-based deletion. See the privacy policy for details.

Deleting local data or your Linekind account does not immediately erase records retained independently by Apple, OpenAI, Google, or other service providers under their policies and legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to exercise rights available under your local law. We may need to verify the request without asking for your password.

Adults only and policy changes

Linekind is intended for people aged 18 or older. Do not submit content involving minors. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us.

When this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Changes to AI processing disclosures will also be reflected in the app before affected submissions.
